This latest 'state of the art' mini digital door lock shows how 'lock' engineering and door access control has progressed since the oldest known door lock, which was found by archeologists in the Khorsabad palace ruins near Nineveh. The lock was estimated to be around 4,000 years old and was a forerunner to a pin tumbler type of lock, and a common Egyptian lock at that time. It worked using a large wooden bolt to secure a door, which had a slot with several holes in its upper surface. The holes were filled with wooden pegs that prevented the bolt from being opened.
The new mini digital door lock has over 5000 different opening combinations.
