The concept of hook & loop, originally developed for industrial applications, was introduced to the US consumer in the 80's. A range of user friendly products were designed and introduced to meet the daily needs of the end user, facilitating a range of uses including DIY, Craft and Sewing. Following the successful introduction of the VELCRO brand range in the US, a bespoke range was brought to Europe in 2001 and the European Consumer Division was born.
